Decrease chronic pain, break up scar tissue & boost mobility with RRT scar tissue therapy.

Rapid Release Therapy

At our McHenry County alternative medicine clinic, we believe in using non-drug approaches to reduce pain and help you feel better. Our Rapid Release Therapy (RRT) service helps target scar tissue pain and soft tissue problems that limit mobility. This quick therapy is safe and feels good.

Are You Suffering From the Effects of Scar Tissue?

Scar tissue forms in the body as a temporary patching mechanism for wounds caused by surgery, trauma or repetitive motion. An adhesion occurs when scar tissue attaches to tissues which are not normally connected. These adhesions can spread, pinching nerves, causing pain or numbness, and limiting mobility.

Rapid Release Therapy is helpful to reduce the pain associated with joint sprains, strains, arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, muscle spasm, nerve pain and most musculoskeletal disorders. Nearly all soft tissue disorders are related to trauma, overuse, repetitive use or mechanical or postural dysfunction. All these conditions involve scar tissue and are successfully treated with RRT.

Here are Some Medical Conditions That RRT Helps Treat:

  • Carpal tunnel syndromeRapid Release Therapy
  • Chronic tendinitis
  • Muscle spasms
  • Nerve compression (trapped nerves)
  • Limited range of motion
  • Shortened muscles
  • Pinched nerves
  • Shoulder pain
  • Ankle pain
  • Headaches
  • Knee problems
  • Tennis elbow
  • Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ)
  • Trigger points

How Rapid Release Therapy Helps Break Up Scar Tissue

RRT works by targeting brittle scar tissue with the shearing force of planar waves that resonate with scar tissue. The planar waves cause the body to vibrate and are not uncomfortable. This shearing force flexes and breaks up the brittle scar tissue lattice but doesn’t harm healthy supple tissue.

Treatments are generally between 3-7 minutes and involve applying the RRT directly on the affected area being treated. RRT uses circular, parallel and perpendicular strokes with the device to the soft tissues of the entire involved area. The therapy yields just enough wavelength energy for the intended results without any observed negative side effects.

Before treating you, we will perform a health evaluation and initial exam to determine if Rapid Release Therapy is right for you.

So, if you suffer from undiagnosed pain due to scar tissue or if you have trigger points that will not release even with massage therapy, Rapid Release Therapy may help reduce your pain, increase range of motion, and improve your quality of life. Car Accident

I was involved in a car/train accident thirty years ago and had been in pain ever since. I have been coming to Nature’s Balance for the past three months for treatment and now I am almost pain free. I have done an annual 5K walk for a local charity. The last two years I had to be pushed in a wheel chair but this year after two acupuncture treatments I was able to walk the 5K with no problems. Since I have been coming to Nature’s Balance I am feeling and doing better than I ever expected. I never thought I would be doing this good. I have my life back. All the time and money spent over the last thirty years along with all the medications that I have been on have done nothing for me. However in the last three months Nature’s Balance has done more for me and I am glad that I came to them.
